February is Library Lovers’ Month! Local libraries offer so much more than just books these days. There’s a wide array of classes that teach technology and computer basics, just to name a few.
This month, show your local library some love, and bring your family along to some of these fun and educational events.

Each month, the local book club reads a different book and meets to discuss it. The group gets together the first Thursday of each month in the Meeting Room at the Mesquite Main Library, 300 W. Bandan Koro African Drum and Dance Ensemble

This dynamic program provides an interactive experience for the entire family. Formed in 2009, Bandan Koro offers African dance and drum classes, performances and cultural activities. The group aims to “educate and inspire through African arts and culture.”
Bring your infants and toddlers to story time at the library! You’ll have a chance to interact with other parents and socialize your kids. Enjoy age-appropriate songs, finger plays, books and fellowship with other parents.
